In today’s video we’re just going to give you a quick over view of the press that we use most frequently when pressing or demonstrating: The MAXX Press from Stahls’. The model we have is the 40xm x 50cm which is big enough for A3 and pressing multiple items.
As you can see from Adam’s demonstration, the press is a well-built, sturdy press with a smooth clamp opening motion. The bottom of the platen is quite spongey which is very kind to any glass items. The MAXX Press also heats up evenly, allowing for a continuous heat across all areas of you sublimation blanks. You can adjust the pressure using a simple screw design and even when you are using a very firm or heavy pressure the clamp handle motion remains smooth.
The press has a digital screen and three buttons making it very straight forward and easy to use. You can program the time and temperature settings easily.
